NEW Charms, Pendants and a SALE!!

I have been working hard to bring you some new things to look at in my shop. I have made a really great variety of pieces and I will have more soon. Bringing back some old favorites some some fantastic new pieces never seen before!!

The NEW Angel Wings are something I worked on with Ella at Calico Collage. This is all in a previous post I believe. I have made new ones that I listed in my shop and they are there now.
I have also made a pair of what I think are some fantastic earrings!!

I really love the way these turned out! They are for sale in my Jewelry Shop. So feel free to snap them up while you still can!!

This is one of my faves! I love the old Ferris Wheel, and I enlarged it enough so you could see the details of the little houses instead of passenger cars. How cool is that!

I have a couple of new sets, these are of course the Fleur de lis that are Exclusive to Skye Jewels! I love having my own personal pieces that no one else can make!

I also made some of the classics you all seems to gravitate towards. I love the roses too, so expect some new ones very soon...

One of the things I am very excited about, is my little supply shop is about to hit 1000 sales! I have worked so hard to get here and I am proud of all the things I have accomplished with this little project I started almost two years ago. I really hope to have at least another two good years to be able to do this.

Bead Soup Partner and Goods!!

So it's that time of year already our wonderful hostess Lori Anderson hosts the ever popular Bead Soup Blog Hop!!
This time because of the huge demand, Lori wisely decided to do it in a lottery. I never thought I would get picked, but I am very happy I was!

These are the pics of what I slowly unwrapped a couple weeks ago.
Pretty and fun little bundles of pretties!

My lovely Partner Lori Finney took time and love to wrap these little bundles up for me! They are so pretty and I love the fabric!

All sorts of little surprises were waiting for me inside!! Lots of glitzy pieces and fun unique beads

These are the two things I have to use. The focal and the clasp. I don't think it will be too hard! Lovely little treasures!!

Of course Lori is being very creative and has challenged me to use the fabric also! I can make anything I want with it. OMGosh!! Lori!! I don't sew!! At all! EEEEK! Panic!!

Angel Wings with Calico Collage!

I was privileged enough to get to work with Ella Bouchard of Calico Collage last week. I had a need of some Angel Wings for a customer of mine and knew Ella could come through for me!

We talked back and forth over the internet and worked together to come up with exactly what my customer would totally fall in love with! What an amazing job she did for me!

I needed to be able to have pairs, so she flipped the entire image sheet and made a duplicate in mirror image. Now you have have singles or pairs! Perfect!!

I am looking forward to creating something with these for my own shop, but I did not have any left to create a piece of jewelry for you to see...yet! For now the pendants in the second and third pictures will be going for the custom order, but I have listed everything in the first picture and a few more singles as well, in my Etsy shop!

There is a nice mix of Steampunk and whimsical images. I will also make more if the demand is there.

Ella will be listing the sheet for everyone else to have a chance to buy it, today in her Etsy shop!! So if the wings are not for you, go have a look around anyways, you never know what might inspire you :)

Shop Updates Everywhere!!

It took me most of the day so far to update all those shops! I added more ephemera charms and pendants to my Supply shop. I added some new pieces of jewelry to my Jewelry shop and I added a few more pieces of jewelry to my Website!

Here is an old world style necklace. Almost looks like and artifact! Love this pendant by Nan Emmett of Spirited Earth!
The top necklace is a limited edition piece with one of my Ephemera beads! Very time consuming, but a simple and easy gift ;)

This last piece was inspired by my friend Donna who made an amazing bracelet! You can see it in her shop Stranded Beads.
The wings in this pendant are outstanding! I am totally in love with it! It is a piece by Martha Eason of Menagerie Studio. She has some amazing pieces!

These delicate little treasures are on my Website. Made with lampwork by Sue Beads and Vintaj.

I made these big bobbles for fun! They really catch the light! The picture does not do it justice! I put these in my Etsy shop. You will have to have a look yourself and see what else I added in there!

Seahorse!

I have a bin full of ceramic and porcelain pendants and a brain full of ideas waiting to come out! It feels so good when something comes of those long held images. They need to come out, but they sometimes need a little time, or a little chaos! I am all about chaos! lol You should see my studio! I don't know what it is but I need to be surrounded by stuff to be able to create! I need to see my beads and be able to let my mind wander.

That seems to work best for me. Just letting creation happen! That might be why art bead are my favorite thing to buy! They were someone else's inspired treasure. Having that in my hands helps me to be inspired as well!

Nan Emmett has an amazing eye for making earthy pieces! I love the way she works the clay. You can find her Spirited Earth shop on Etsy, but beware, she is very popular, so her shop rarely has anything left in it! ;)

You will be seeing many more pieces come out in my shop with her beautiful pendants this spring. I am working on a few Ocean pieces as we speak, so keep coming back! You can find most of my pieces online either in my Etsy shop or on my website. Always new things getting listed!!

Feeling like a Gypsy!

I simply adore these filigree pieces from Vintaj!! So pretty!! I could not resist adding a bunch of Crystals to them, I knew they would look elegant! I added a little bling to the ear wires too. Why not! They needed to follow the elegance of the rest of the earrings. I call them "Gypsy Princess"! They are listed on my website!

I know the pictures are almost the same, but I could not bring myself to add only one! lol

On another note, these are for a custom order, for my favorite cupcake maker!! Her cupcakes are fabulously gorgeous! I just hope she likes the earrings... lol

FEELING my New Pieces!

I swear it feels like forever since I was really Feeling what I was making! Having so many shows at Christmas, I was creating things I really liked, but not as much "felt"! You know what I mean? I love what I do and would not give it up, but sometimes you need a break and after, things work much better!

This is my favorite new piece! My heart was beating harder when I was making it! I could "feel" that it was going to be a great piece! I am sooo happy with it! I listed it on my website, but it may be hard to send it off if it gets purchased! lol

I was hanging onto this Vintaj Medallion for awhile. It just needed to speak to me! The focal bead is greener than on my monitor, it's almost emerald! So beautiful!

I have always loved long "gypsy" like dangles. These really reflect that love! Smaller than most of this style, they still have that elegant, free spirit feel to them!

I had a few of these Floral pieces from Round Rabbit. I am slowly letting inspiration take me to where it needs to in creating anything with them. They are so lovely, I will miss them when they are gone!

I know this piece will not last long, every time I make something this nice in blue, it's the first thing to go! lol I used Swarovski crystals on this one with the rest being Vintaj!

I am looking forward to making more pieces with "feeling" in the next few months. I hope to do more markets this year, but not as many as last year. As soon as my Hubby finds a job, things will slow down for me, and I look forward to it!

A New Thing, for a New Year!!

I sat listening to Christina Perri's "A Thousand Years" over and over again while I was making these. She has to be my favorite new artist out there right now. I really FEEL her words!

These are my new Interchangeable earrings. I was just thinking to myself how nice it is to be able to change things up on occasion, so this come with that thought.

I have made a few different colours and have listed them on my Skye Jewels website. I am thinking I am going to make a real effort to work on my website more this year. I am not closing Etsy, I just need a change.

Love the mix of browns and topaz in these ones. I think they would look good with my new haircut ;) lol

Last but not least, my favorite green!! You could wear these with just the pearls or just the crystals. You could take one crystal off for a little simpler style, or even just wear one Crystal! I really love the way they look, and I hope they sell, telling me you all like them too!

3 Amazing Years!

I am looking back at all the wonderful and even not so wonderful experiences that the last three years has brought me. I have learned so much and made some wonderful friends. I have grown as a person and an artist. It has been good, maybe even great!

I have not yet decided what I am going to do this year. I have taken a break from sending out pieces to be published, I am a little tired of all the listing and not getting very far on Etsy. I am slowing down but not stopping. I need to re-evaluate what I am doing and see where I want it to take me.

In the hopes that since James is now done his degree, we will get back into a normal routine and I will once again be able to enjoy my craft and not feel like I have to produce enough inventory to supply an entire store! It has been trying, but it was necessary. Now our focus is to find James a career job and get him working again! It will be nice to not worry about where our next meal is coming from!

Once again, several artists in the blog community have decided to come together to help a fellow artist in need. It is so sad when tragedy befalls any of us, but it is particularly difficult during the Holidays. We humbly ask for your help in sharing these auctions with the people you know and please take a moment and place a bid on your favorite item!

The auction will run from Thursday, December 22nd through Wednesday, December 28th at midnight.

This will be a double Auction like my last one. I have two beautiful pieces Lana Kinney. A stunning bracelet, made with a Toggle, bird bead and heart charm by Mary Harding
It is made of solid copper that has been patinaed and polished with a top coat of wax to seal the finish!

This auction will be a little different, we will have two necklaces up for grabs. First off you have a necklace by the uber talented Lori Anderson of Pretty Things Blog

Necklace made with beads by Sue Beads, sterling silver, and a Thai silver dragonfly perched on one side. The necklace can be worn as short as you like, up to 18" by hooking the clasp into any of the links.

ABS Christmas Ornament Blog Hop

So Here we are!! The ABS Christmas Ornament Blog Hop!!

I am more excited to see what everyone else is making than to have you see mine, I know there are going to be some awesome ones out there! I think this will be a really fun blog hop! So Enjoy!!

Here is one side, made with one of my double sided Christmas Pendants.

The other side is a nice retro or Vintage Santa! My favorite!! I added some simple ribbon and Czech glass dangles. I am a little disappointed in my ornament, I really think I could have done better, but I am out of creative energy for the season! lol I guess that happens when you are trying to sell enough to support a family of 6!

Revisiting Last Christmas...

I was just remembering last year's markets and how well we did. I was also thinking about some of my favorite pieces and how I wish I could get more of the wonderful components I used. It had been really wonderful to work at something I love so much.

I love all the wonderful techniques I have learned and the things I have experimented with. I have made some wonderful friends and discovered some amazing bead artisans.

I need to revisit some of these designs, they sold so fast I hardly got to enjoy them! You know how it is with certain pieces are have a particular fondness for...

I do however need to take a break. This Christmas season has been particularly hard for sales and I am exhausted! I can not go on like this without having a little brain break! Not sure yet how things will go, but we all need to slow down once in awhile!

I am not leaving, I will still be around.

To the Anonymous person that posted a comment on my blog with threats. I would like you to know that I was not the one driving the van that cut you off. See, in the Christmas spirit, I donated that van to a couple in need of a better vehicle than what they had. I am so sorry they cut you off on the road, that was not polite. I mentioned to them the incident and they apologize. They will also be removing the decals on the back of the van, something I had already asked them to do. In future, please keep your threats off my blog, you never know for sure the situation and I certainly don't appreciate the comments, since I have always been a very courteous driver.

Oh How I wish I had more time to tell you what you mean to me, to show you how I care. I wish I could take the time to visit all your blogs that I adore and leave comments on all your posts. I wish I could chat with you and get to know you better, or catch up on see what you've been up to!
I have so much to do, so many things to accomplish this season, I am afraid to forget something or miss something important! I try my best to be an honest person, to do the right thing and to be kind and helpful, but sometimes I make mistakes. I am after all only human!

Sari Ribbon Blog Hop Party!!

How lucky I was to be added on at the last minute! I am happy to be able to participate in this fun blog hop! It is certainly keeping me on my toes and getting me to post on the 'ol blog! I spent way too much time neglecting it! So here we are...

I decided to make a Sari Wrapped Wire Bracelet. Something fun in Autumn colours. It's simple and basic but elegant and rustic!

I used Vintaj ribbon and 3mm melon beads

Here on the side as well as the Focal bead, I used Red Creek Jasper {a stone by many other names it seems} I wrapped them at the edge all the way around.

Here is the top view, you can see the edges well, how the beads are all along the outer edge.

Here is a major closeup of the side so you can see the soft texture of the Sari under the wire. This is simply luxurious with all the layers and deep rich Autumn colours.

Here is a little of what I have been up to lately...

I spent most of the summer doing markets and trying to keep my kids from fighting! lol Always happy to start summer holidays, but even more happy to send them back to school! Love them to bits, but there is only so much one mama can take! I did have quite a bit of time to spend creating though, my husband is still out of work, so other than his practicum for school, he was home and able to help with the kids so I could work.

The pieces featured in the pictures are all recently made and recently sold! I am so blessed to have great local customers who keep coming back for more! I even have a little local shop that wants to carry my pieces. Hopefully this will be finalized soon and I will be able to share the good news with you all including the location! We have to sign some contracts and come to agreements, but it is looking really good!

I am now getting ready for the dozen or so Christmas markets I have booked. I am still hoping to book more of course, there are dates that are still open and I would certainly love to fill them! I am having a really good time meeting all the wonderful local people and sending them off with a smile on their faces. If any of you are reading this, Thank You for your patronage, it means the world to me!!

This week I have some amazing charms and pendants in the works! New items that have never been made before. I am very excited about these ones, and when they are ready I will share them with you on a new post! I have been working closely with a wonderful Graphic Designer name Ella Bouchard, she owns Calico Collage and we have been making magic with her images :) I really can't wait to show you!!

This necklace was made with Calico Collage's Clock sheet called Antique Clock Faces. She originally made this sheet at my request, because I was looking for some new clock images for a customer and I was not finding what I was looking for anywhere. Thanks Ella for all your hard work!

So come again soon, I will have some new things to post that you might like to see :)

...one more thing, I really hope you can follow my blog! I would love to reach 500 by Christmas ;)

Artbead Earring Swap

Diana Ptaszynski contacted me about an Art Bead Earring swap she was doing, and I thought why the heck not! I had seen a few other things like this from other artists and had wanted to participate in the past but had not known about it! Thanks Diana for inviting me :)

Diana and I met on Facebook through the wonderful process of random friending! lol I say this because I honestly can not remember where exactly I found her, but I sure am glad I did! We have seen each others work and casually commented here and there, but the breakthrough to our friendship came in mid August when Diana and I realized we shared the same Birthday! How fun! Diana is younger than me {lucky girl} by about 5 years I think but no matter, we hit it off. How lucky am I that I got her as a partner!

She sent me these gorgeous earrings! I can't wait to wear them! I am so excited! I love everything about them, the Bright silver, the sparkly bits, but most of all I LOVE the little tiny rosettes Diana made herself! So sweet! I think I will feel very feminine wearing these :)

The soup is on! Come feast your eyes!!

Finally the day of the big reveal has arrived! The day everyone has been anticipating and salivating at the thought of the feast we are about to partake in! Join us! Follow us! Leave us a note!! That's what this day is all about! Sharing our soup, making new friends, revisiting old ones and getting bowl fulls of inspiration!!

The wait is over...

This is what I started with! A pretty mix of silver, black and amber.

Now, it has become this!! A long elegant necklace, with enough length to go right over your head, but with the added flexibility of a clasp, for those of us who find it easier.

I added some black coated wire that I had left over from a previous project and these cool rustic links from Susan Lenart Kazmer's Industrial Chic line! They had been waiting for just the right treasures to call to them, and here they are!

My Bead Soup Partner, Maria Rosa Sharrow, made this wonderful butterfly wing pendant. She picked beads that were a perfect match and the complete package truly inspired me! I look forward to the next Bead Soup!!

Bead Soup Blog Hop Preview

I am excited to post this! I am very pressed for time and will not be long winded today, as we leave for Disneyland in less than 2 days!!

For this BSBH I am partnered up with Maria Rosa Sharrow. I am just getting to know her a little through her blog and shop. She makes these amazing butterfly wing pendants and I am really excited to put this together! The beads are a perfect match and the colours I just love! Great mix!

Maria also surprised me with a second mix of fun beads and pieces! Now I have double the challenge to get something made by tomorrow so I can make the post to be published while I am away on holidays!

Thanks for the wonderful soup mix!! Now to make the actual soup!! Wish me luck!!

Lariats and Global Fest!!

I have been such a bad blogger. I need to get more into it, but time is a big issue right now and I have to pick and choose what is more important. I have had health issue lately that have made it literally painful to look at the computer screen, so now that I am starting to feel better, I am hoping to catch up on a few things :)

I have had fun trying to create new things, not much energy or stamina, but even with all that plaguing me I still managed to get a few fun things made!
I am adding to my longer necklace selection with these super easy Lariat Necklaces. I had done a survey a few months ago on my Facebook page and most of the answers were that people liked long necklaces. Then came the hard part. Without wire wrapping a bunch of long necklaces, how do I give a good selection of long pieces at a good price. Well, it turns out these are pretty darn popular!! They are almost all gone and I could swear I just started making them!!

I am using Vintaj and Copper. I may at some point invest in more Gun Metal Gray chain, but I have to use what I have right now, my studio is overflowing with stuff and all I want to do is shop! lol
I am trying all sorts of combinations, I really love mixing the two sides with different components. Polymer, lampwork, trees and leaves... no limits to the combinations I can assemble!

As always I am in love with green, it is hard for me to stray away from it, but I am trying :) I love how this combo came together. I will have to get more of these awesome Focals by Bubby&McGurk and Humblebeads!! Way too awesome!!

I did try a purple combo, that worked well for me too :) I think I am feeling inspiration coming on for a pink set... Can't wait to go back in there and play!! I have some adorable beads by Lisa Anderson in this one Love Lisa's beads!!
It also has a shell like the one in my necklace on the cover of Bead Trends Magazine for the month of August, this one is purple the other is Green!

I absolutely love how I can make them as long as I want without adding too much to the cost. The wire wrapped necklaces I make, the longer I go the more they cost because of the time involved! You need to pay yourself for your work, or what is the point of working!! These stay nice and affordable with lots of character and texture!!

I just want to sit there all week and make more of these!! But I do have my big Huge Global Fest show to do!! So much work!! I need to reprice everything, and redo some major displays like my earring displays. I also need to package some of the new stuff so that it wears better. I have done lots of shows and have had good turn outs and good sales. I am getting good local exposure and I am starting to build a real name for myself. My shows however have seen between 10-250 people. This is totally different. Last year this show had over 90,000 people come!! Most will only be there for the fireworks competition, but some come for the market!

Even if 10% of the total people there visit {9000 people} and if only 1% of them actually shop {90 people} I will still have more sales than I have ever had at any of my shows!! That is why I need to have the inventory base, but I am not there yet!! lol
When I was busy producing like crazy, 20-40+ pieces a day I saw comments popping up in places about having quality over quantity. This is a valid point! I am all about quality. If I don't think something is good enough, I don't sell it. I normally don't duplicate my pieces either. However, for this show I have come up with a simple easy line of pieces geared towards tweens and teens. I am making these to have extra things to sell, but also to attract a new customer base. My art pieces are as they always have been, OOAK and excellent quality. Sometimes you have to sacrifice small things for the greater good, and my family is the greater good in this situation. With my husband almost done school, we are getting closer to the end of all this, but I work hard to keep us afloat. It is a worthwhile cause :) Just a lot of work!!

Speaking of work...

Adornments for your Wrist!

I have heard it said that if you can't decide on a one piece of jewelry that you should always go for the wrist! This is because the wrist is the thinnest part of your body and so to adorn this particular area draws the eye to it and away from perhaps less "desirable" areas. I tend to agree. I find that somehow I feel more elegant with a well adorned wrist that most other things I could add to my outfit. So without further ado, Adornments for your wrist!!

The first picture is named "Mermaids tail" because of the mix of Czech glass used. The cut sides of the glass beads remind me of the shimmery scales on the tail of one of these mythical creatures. The second photo is named "Monet's Garden" Thanks to someone on my Facebook page I found this name to be more suitable than what I had originally picked out. I love the soft colours of the Czech glass leaves and flowers mixed with the earthy and warm copper.

I used this fabulous clasp a second time to create this warm and rich piece. I love making a little something for every taste, whether simple or complex, colourful or muted, smooth or textured... the possibilities are endless and so I create from my heart and let the designs come out in whatever way they shall. I used brown/gold tones in this one, also made of Czech glass. I did three simple strands in separate rows unlike the first where I intertwined the rows. It lays quite smoothly on your wrist!

This is the crowning glory of the day! Over 4 hours of wire wrapping! A mix of Czech glass in clear with AB finish, deep blue Ocean colours mixed with the earthy tones of the copper. I named it "Ocean Spray"! This is what I felt as I was creating it! I could hear the waves in my head and see the salt spray of the waves crashing on the beach. I have always loved watching the ocean, I live by the mountains so I don't get to enjoy it very often, but as a child I enjoyed the Atlantic Ocean very much with it's tides and rocky sand beaches.

I hope you can take these images with you and be inspired to bring your own surroundings and memories into creation through whatever form of art you use. I wish I could paint, I would create a scarf with the Ocean Spray and the mermaids tail... I am really loving scarves lately, not sure why but they make me smile ;)

New pendants with Calico Collage, a show and even some jewelry!!

I have been trying out some new images that I am very happy with :) I have been looking for some new clock images that would really speak to me and I was lucky enough to meet a lovely lady named Ella, that was willing to work with me on some custom sheets!

Ella is also known as Calico Collage. She has a fun unique style and is so full of energy and spunk! Just my kind of girl! These sheets will be listed in her shop on Monday, for anyone who is interested. They are not available yet, so keep an eye out for 6 new sheets of clocks, maybe more on Monday Morning West Coast time...

The top one is 1inch circles, and has a mix from two different sheets. The second are 1.5 inch circles, perfect for a pendant! There are 4 different sheets of these ones. I think Ella mentioned that she was working on some other sizes too, so keep an eye out ;)

Some of these pieces have already sold but please keep an eye out after the weekend for me to start listing them in my Etsy shop, More Skye Jewels!!

These are by another artist, but I wanted to include them because I love them so much! I love the colour and texture in these. Photos do not do them justice!!

On another note, I was able to find a few minutes to create something new in the last couple of weeks. I am a little overwhelmed by everything that has been going on and keep hoping that someone will offer their services as my assistant in exchange for jewelry! lol Alas no one has offered yet, that lives close enough to actually be able to do it! It was fun to read the comments of those interested though ;)

This necklace is Vintaj, with a mix of other lovelies! It has a very beachy feel and is summery and fun!

Also made with Vintaj, I love the focal bead and this one sits just right on my neck, might keep it, but I have not decided yet! lol

You will be seeing more of these coming out, I am making them a permanent part of my collection. They will all be a little different, just to keep them interesting, but in general they will be pretty much like these two pairs...

Fallen Angel Brass has really grown on me, I am loving it more and more. I think it's the fact that it is so dark. Makes my designs rich and different!

And for the last pair, more Fallen Angel Brass with a touch of French Class! I can't wait to get more!! So fun to play with!!

So please forgive my absence, I will try to stop in more often, it has just been a crazy week/month lol

I Need An Assistant!!

Have you ever had one of those weeks/months where there were just never enough hours in the day to get everything done? I have been in that situation for over a month now. I have so many summer shows booked and add in all the internet stuff I need to do for my business and Spring cleaning on top of that! I have not even had time to make more charms, or photograph the ones I have left! I am taking a moment to do this post because I just honestly needed to sit for a minute and this was a better excuse than doing nothing!

At least the one thing I am getting done is creating! I have made so many new pieces and I have so many more in my head waiting to come out through my hands! I have one week left to make a ton of stuff for the show I have next weekend! It's a pretty big one! Summerfest! I can't wait! Now I am mostly just praying for nice weather! This rain is not helping my business.

I have a show this Saturday in Millet AB, so if you live in that part of Alberta, come visit! I think it's about 20 minutes south of Edmonton. It's absolutely worth the trip to see me! I have sooo many things to show you!

I have been working on a new line under the name of "Goddess". It is made mostly with copper and some brass, but the main ingredient if you will, is recycled silk sari! It is something out of my comfort zone, but I am loving it! It feels so feminine and has so much texture. I love the feel of the silk and I love the visual interest that the copper adds to the silk! It is packed right now and I have no pictures yet, but keep your eyes open and you will see it very soon, I promise!!

Fantastic Market lots of sales!!

The Okotoks Market went fabulously well! I felt very Welcome by this wonderful little community and I can't wait to come again in June and July! The people were friendly and loved my jewelry I left there feeling like I had accomplished something!

These are pictures of some of the pieces that went to new homes. Just thrilled with each and every sale! I even managed to do amazingly well even without my debit machine! A lot of the pieces purchased were for Mother's Day. Some bought by moms and others bought for moms.

I can't wait to see if they return for more next month!
I will be working on building my inventory back up with some of the same styled pieces that sold. I will also try to have a better set up to display everything, I had a little trouble with my earring stand and the breeze, but I will work it out.

We ran into some extended family while we were out there. That was quite lovely! We had a nice time chatting with them. I also made a few new friends!
The next time I go I hope to be able to meet a few shop owners and maybe get a retail contract or two. I am still looking for a local shop to carry my stuff.

My "French Boudoir" piece was one of the first to sell and the lovely lady that bought it was smiling ear to ear! Must have been her Mother's day gift! Maybe she will bring friends to the market in June!!

So It's that time of the week again, the wonderful Bead Table Wednesday! Here is what my table looked like last week, it has not changed! lol I also have quite the collection gathered on the floor!

On to more exciting things than seeing my mess...lol

I will be at this market on this Saturday as well as the first Saturdays of June and July!! Please stop in and see me if you are local, I would love to meet you, or see you again! It's going to be a really fun day!! Bring the whole family to enjoy the wonderful activities they have planned :)

I will have all my new pieces there with me, I will also have my pendants and charms available for anyone who might be interested!

If everything goes well I will be able to accept Visa and MC, although I will not be able to put the transactions through until I actually receive the terminal.

I will also have a lot of marked down items so take advantage of the sales and help me clear out all of last year's inventory!

I have been working on some fun new pieces including this sweet and feminine piece called "French Boudoir" I used one of Martha Eason's Pieces, you can get your own in her Menagerie Studio Etsy shop. The Fleur de Lis Pendant is one she originally created for me and from what I can see it has become one of her best sellers!

I have been wanting to use some of my collection of buttons for a long time. I used them with a huge amount of Vintaj jumprings and one of my new mini clock charms. This clock is a 1 inch circle and very soon you will be able to find items like it in my Supply shop!

I am really loving all these French pieces I am making and I am considering turning it all into a collection.

I needed to use up a shorter length of chain and this pendant jumped out at me! Love copper! I added a large gathering of Czech glass beads in various shapes with their own shades of copper. The length is about 16 inches but the pendant is fabulously long so it is a really eye catching piece when worn.

Love this bracelet! I think it has a little of all my favorite things :) French Tile, Vintaj Brass, Lampwork glass beads, Polymer and wire! So fun! This is one of those that will sell really fast at the show on Saturday! I have made similar styled ones in the past and they are always the first to sell!

New Ephemera Jewelry

I finally made myself some tiles. With the thousands of tiles I have made over the last year and a bit, this is the first time I have sat down and made them just for me! I wanted to try a couple of designs with earrings and I wanted to revisit my tile charm bracelets I was making at the very beginning. I don't know why I stopped making them, they always sold right away. So I am bringing them back!! lol

Now bringing them back does not mean they will be the same! I was feeling rich and warm, so the colours that came out in the designs are that as well. Dark reds and greens, hints of warm pinks and of course, Vintaj Brass!

These little bird cage tiles have been sitting around for a bit, staring at me, so I decided to make a few sets :) I chose the blue ones for myself and added all flower dangles to go with the images. I really like the way they turned out, cute, sweet and even whimsical! Sure to put a smile on your face :)

I am just in love with this sweet little Ferris Wheel Tile! Part of the same set as the rose in the other charm bracelet, this one had more greens and I LOVE green :) I added a mix of Czech glass, including pinks and greens, I added bead caps for a richer feel and more texture. This photo does not do this piece justice!

I wanted to save this piece for last. I thought you might have fun with this one :) I know I sure did! Many of us Love Owls! I am starting to make more pieces with them since they sell so well. This is a fun piece made with all Czech glass and lots of Vintaj Brass!
I wanted to add a little blue to my selection, I just noticed when I was redoing my displays that I was getting quite low on blue pieces! Some of you may know that blue is one of the top selling colours for jewelry and clothing. If you did not know, now you do. ;) I have always been more draw to greens myself, but I love blue. They also look wonderful together, so maybe I should make a couple designs in both! hmmmm...

I will be photographing some new tiles today and adding new listings to my shop. It has been a busy time here, loads of homework and exams for Hubby and other school things for Emma. We have been kept quite busy with everything, but now we will have a little break so I may get to even visit with some friends while I have the time! That would be nice! I think they are starting to think I have abandoned them! I hope they don't hate me too much! Life is a little crazy for each of us at different times, but I am always there, even if I don't always seem to be!

NEW!!! Skye Jewels Exclusive! BFF anyone?

So Martha Eason and I have been working on a little project together. I was inspired by my dear Friends Amanda Austin to make BFF necklaces. This is what hit me as the "Eureka" moment. I think Amanda most likely meant make something with my tiles, and that day may still come, but the Shabby Chic pendants just felt right! {and I just knew Martha could execute the idea}

So these are the two I have come up with so far... Some of these will have half heart pieces with floral or swirl patterns. These will be a more generic version of the original idea. Love these!! I also made the necklaces mirror images of themselves.

For the second pair...

I made them a little more complex with more beads and links. The other difference is the Pendants. These ones have the letters BFF on them. Perfect for a couple of girls that just can't be separated! lol These are in a sweet pink colour and are once again a mirror image of themselves.

I am sure you can imagine how loved these will be by the girls who share them.
I will be listing these in my Jewelry shop on Etsy!I have two more sets I can make, if they become popular I will get more made. Special orders are welcome but the wait time is substantial due to the time it takes to make the pendants, the shipping and creating the pair of necklaces.

We have not decided how long this will be an exclusive for, I will update you as to when you might be able to get your own!

"Woodland Blush" Vintaj Design Challenge!!

I am really excited about this one!! I a m not exactly sure what happened with this design, but it turned out exactly how I wanted it to!! Now some of you are thinking that they most likely always turn out like that, but honestly, this is the first time that the picture in my head was exactly what came out in my hands! Some have come pretty close, but this one is my best I think :)

I was really inspired by the theme and everything just happened! From my heart to my hands :) The wonderful variety of Vintaj findings always helps the imagination flourish! I had a couple of the newest pieces that have come out recently and I was truly Eager to include them in this piece!

The sweet little leaves that are a part of the dangles are perfect! Love the soft curved edges :) The branch really adds that woodsy feel and the pale pink flowers are the ideal blushing element to this design!

I took the sweet little flowers all the way around the necklace! I did not want to wimp out on this design, I wanted it to shine with detail and texture! I truly hope you feel that I have accomplished that!

This is the piece I pray and hope you will go vote for! It would be an honour and a privilege to be chosen as the winner!
